As the first Danes ever, the 37 year old
Kristian Joos and the 43 year old Gregers Gjersøe
have been skiing to the south pole. The 12. januar 2001
they arrived to the south pole after 55 days
of skiing from Hercules Inlet on Vestantarktis.
The 1200
km from the cost to the south pole distance travelled with a impressive
average on 21,8 km a day. The expedition was unsupported",
and Kristian og Gregers had all the equipment and supplies in each "pulk" - weighting 120Kg. |
