· UNI-SOLARâ Thin Film Silicon Triple Junction Technology.
· Unbreakable (no glass) : encapsulated in polymers.
· By-pass diode per cell to produce power even when partially shaded.
· High sensibility for lower irradiation levels and under diffuse light.
· A weather resistant Multi-Contact junction box with pre-attached plug-and-play cables.
· 20 years warranty (limited).
· CE compatible; JRC-Ispra : certificates CEI/IEC 61646/CEC-701; UL-listed.
· Solar panels become structurally and aesthetically integrated roofing elements.
· Cost-effective installation through easy and fast fixing of large area roofing elements.
· Standard installation technique.
· No support structures needed.
· Compatible with all traditional roof decks (so direct installation on substructures of wood, steel, concrete beams or insulation board).
· No back-ventilation of solar panels necessary (panels can be directly placed on insulation material).
· Design freedom : custom made metal panels available.
· Ridge to eave coverage possible
· Wind and waterproof roof (no roof penetrations).
· Solar electric power is collected through electrical terminations located on the top of the panel. No deck or roof
penetrations through roof skin are required.
· Environmentally friendly (100% recyclable).
· Aesthetically-pleasing with modern look, solar architectural roofing panels are integrated into the roof following the specifications of conventional architectural standing seam panels. A combination of architectural styling with structural performance and durability of Galvalume® steel.

The steel plate of the Standing Seam Roof is made of durable Aluzinc® -coated steel on pre-lacquered galvanized steel.

The photo-voltaic modules are exceptionally durable. They are encapsulated in polymers which are weather resistant
and UV-stable (EVA and the fluoro-polymer TEFZEL, a DuPont film). They provide as well a high resistance against wear, severe weather conditions and corrosion.

The by-pass diodes are connected across each cell, allowing the modules to produce power even when partially shaded.

Diodes are positioned on the sides of the laminates than can be easily damaged. A junction box with plug-and-play
cables (optional) for electrical connection is placed on the top or bottom side of the metal panel depending on the type
of application. Each metal panel has a male and a female seam. The UNI-SOLAR® SSR panels are installed on the roof
in a manner similar to traditional metal roofing panels using standard anchor clips and fasteners.

The panels are being fixed on the sub construction with anchor clips. The clips are fixed on a wooden substructure (wooden beams) by means of a pneumatic hammer. On steel beams the clips are fixed with self-drilling screws. The clips are made of stainless steel.

First, the clips are being installed at the correct clip distance. After that, the standing seam panel are mounted on the
roof. The panels are normally mounted from left to right, when the female seam is on the left-hand sight (seen from
the bottom side of the roof). One can also start in the middle with a special standing seam panel that has two male
seams. The last panel on the left-hand side is in that case also a special panel (two female seams). After mounting the panels, the seam of the panels at the height of the clips is folded with a special type of hand tool (a kind of pliers). This
is to fix the panels in the correct position and to make sure that the seams are overlapping correctly. Afterwards, over a distance of 15 cm on the lower edge of the seam the seams are hand-folded with the same hand tool. This is to allow the electrical seaming machine to be installed on the same seam. The electrical seaming machine folds the male and female seams into each other forming a strong and watertight connection between two metal panels. Each mounted panel is immediately seamed after mounting, so one does not have to step over the mounted steel panels, avoiding risk of
damage on the solar panels.

After mounting and seaming all metal panels, the edge pieces, gutter and ridge cap need to be installed. Beware that no sharp pieces or metal particles fall on the PV laminates or metal as they can cause corrosion or damage the laminates.

During initial 8-10 weeks of operation, the module has higher electrical output than the rated output. The output power
may be higher by 15%, the operating voltage may be higher by 11% and the operating current may be higher by 4%. In some applications, this initial power bonus must be considered when sizing power system components such as wiring, inverters and switch gear.

Electrical specifications (+/- 10 %) are based on measurements performed at standard test conditions of 1000 W/m2 irradiance, Air Mass 1.5 and Cell Temperature of 25°C after long-term stabilisation. Performance may vary up to 10 %
from rated power due to low temperature operation, spectral and related effects.

Maximum system open circuit voltage: 600 V (DC).

The voltages and current figures for the SSR192 and SSR256 are only valid for the 2 separated PV-laminates connected
in series. Voltage and current may vary if the 2 PV-laminates are interconnected differently.
