Solar Electric Metal Roofing Panels (photovoltaic roofing panels) are building integrated photovoltaic products. They are
integrated into the roof following the specifications of conventional metal roofing panels. Photovoltaic roofing
panels are intended for use with other electrical power components such as DC combiner boxes (for series and
parallel connections) charge controllers, DC/AC inverters,
and ground fault detection and interruption equipment.
Applications
· Grid-connected systems or off-grid systems
· Residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
· Suitable for very low slopes (= 5°).
· For design roofs (design freedom for length, width and curvature).
· For lacquered or unlacquered applications.
· Applicable on: plywood frame, metal deck, rigid board insulation, metal framing, fibre-cement plates, and concrete substructures
· Systems: typical systems range from 3 kWp to 100 kWp (SSR).
· Suitable for both renovation and new buildings.
· Applicable on all possible roof substructures

The photo-voltaic modules are exceptionally durable.
They are encapsulated in polymers which are weather
resistant and UV-stable (EVA and the fluoro-polymer
TEFZELâ, a DuPont film). They provide as well a high
resistance against wear, severe weather conditions and corrosion.
The by-pass diodes are connected across each cell,
allowing the modules to produce power even when partially shaded.
